Reasons to choose a workshop that takes its time
Not every watch workshop works the same way. Here is what we do differently — and why it matters for your timepiece.

Inspection before every job
You know what we find before we start. No surprises, no work done without your knowledge.
Updates along the way
Longer jobs come with progress messages so you are never wondering where your watch is.
All work done in-house
Your watch does not leave our workshop and go to a third party. What we say we do, we do ourselves.
Timing checked after overhauls
Movement work is followed by a timing check across positions, with results recorded in writing.
Clear, upfront pricing
Prices for standard services are stated on our solutions page. Anything extra is discussed before it is done.
Small queue, shorter wait
We limit how many pieces we take in at once. Your watch gets attention, not a number in a long line.
What each benefit means in practice
Practical expertise, not just tools
Owning the right tools is one part of watch repair. Knowing how to read a movement — to understand what is causing a timing error or why a rotor drags — is another. Our watchmaker has worked on a range of mechanical and automatic calibres over many years. That background means problems are diagnosed rather than guessed at.
We keep our scope realistic. There are some movements that need manufacturer-level support, and we say so rather than attempt work beyond our reach.
What this means for you
An accurate picture of what your watch needs before money is spent
Movement issues identified at the component level, not masked
Honest referral if a job falls outside what we handle well
What this means for you
No unanswered messages left sitting — we respond within the same working day
Progress updates for any work taking more than a day or two
Straightforward language — no jargon unless you want it
Communication that respects your time
Leaving a watch with a workshop and hearing nothing for two weeks is an uncomfortable experience. We avoid it by keeping in touch at natural points during longer jobs: when the movement comes out, when parts arrive (if needed), and when work is ready for collection.
For shorter work like strap fittings, we give an honest estimate of time when you arrive, so you can plan accordingly.
Pricing that reflects the work, not the brand
Our prices are set to cover the materials, time, and care each service requires. They are not inflated by marketing or suppressed by cutting corners on parts. Strap fitting starts at ฿1,420. Crystal replacement at ฿2,650. A full overhaul at ฿4,090.
If a watch has an unusual requirement that changes the price, we discuss it with you before proceeding. The price you agree to at the start is the price on the receipt.
What this means for you
Published prices on the solutions page — no need to call just to find out the cost
No additions to the scope without prior agreement
Gasket checks and small adjustments included in relevant services at no extra step
What this means for you
A watch that leaves in measurably better condition than it arrived
Written summary of every step taken during an overhaul
Timing results you can refer back to at the next service
Outcomes worth returning for
The measure of good watch service is not how quickly a job gets done but whether the watch runs better, looks better, and holds up longer. We document what we find and what we do so that the next technician — whether that is us or someone else — has a clear picture of the watch's history.
A number of our customers return year on year for strap changes and periodic checks. That continuity matters to us.
Nahlika versus the typical approach
| Aspect | Typical provider | Nahlika Atelier |
|---|---|---|
| Inspection before starting | Often skipped | Always, on every job |
| Work done in-house | Sometimes sent out | Yes, always in our workshop |
| Progress updates for longer work | Rarely offered | Sent at each key stage |
| Written overhaul summary | Not provided | Included with every overhaul |
| Timing check included | Sometimes, rarely documented | Included and recorded in writing |
| Pricing discussed before any extras | Often done first, quoted after | Always agreed in advance |
A few things you will not find everywhere
Overhaul documentation you can keep
After a full service, a plain-language written summary accompanies your watch home. It details what was found, what was replaced, and the final timing results. Something to hold onto for future reference.
Timing results across positions
We check rate in multiple positions rather than just dial-up flat. This gives a more complete picture of how the movement behaves during wear.
Gasket check during crystal and case work
Whenever a case is opened, we inspect the gaskets and replace them where the condition warrants it — without making it a separate line item for standard jobs.
Controlled queue — not first come, queue forever
We keep our intake manageable so that quoted timelines are realistic ones. We would rather quote three weeks and deliver on time than quote one week and disappoint.
